SPORTS
IWAS is the international governing body (IF) for the paralympic programme sports of Wheelchair Fencing and Wheelchair Rugby as well as Cue Sports, Lawn Bowls and Electric Wheelchair Hockey.
The Federation has also developed strong working relationships as its sports have moved from IWAS (ISMWSF/ISOD) to independency or IPC governance, to ensure that its membership and the sports still benefit from opportunity in the IWAS Games programme. (See Games programme on main menu for more detail).
Sports that are part of, or associated with IWAS through Games and development programmes are:
Amputee Football, Archery, Athletics, Badminton, Cue Sports, Cycling, Electric Wheelchair Hockey, Equestrian, Lawn Bowls, Powerlifting, Shooting, Swimming, Table Tennis, Volleyball, Wheelchair Basketball, Wheelchair Dance Sport, Wheelchair Fencing and Wheelchair Rugby and Winter Sports such as Ice Sledge Hockey, Nordic & Alpine Ski.
